There is no better way to experience the divine beauty of the Italian coastline than a private boat tour to Positano and Amalfi from Sorrento. A private tour offers an intimacy that larger boats simply cannot match (here our fleet). Here are three reasons why a private tour is the ultimate way to see the Coast. Feel free, while reading, to inquire with our agent (bottom-right) for further information.

1. Total Freedom and a Tailored Itinerary
Standard tours operate on a strict clock, but on a private boat, the sea is your playground. Want to spend an extra hour snorkeling in the turquoise cove of Tordigliano Beach? Or perhaps you’d like to linger a bit longer at the Fiordo di Crapolla to capture the perfect photo?

A private tour allows you to set the pace. Whether you want to rush to Positano for some high-end shopping or prefer a slow, scenic cruise past the Fiordo di Furore, the captain is there to cater to your specific desires. You aren’t just a passenger; you are the architect of your day.
Private Boat Tour to Positano and Amalfi: Access to Hidden Wonders
The Amalfi Coast is famous for its vertical cliffs and sea caves, many of which are inaccessible to larger vessels. On a private tour, you can glide right up to the mystical Emerald Grotto or circle the enchanting Li Galli Island (Dolphin Island). A swim in open water that feels worlds away from the tourist crowds.

Your journey takes you through the heart of the Marine Protected Area. You’ll see the historic watchtowers of Punta Campanella and the charming waterfront of Conca dei Marini from a perspective that land-bound travelers never get to see. It is the difference between looking at a postcard and living inside one.
3. Unmatched Comfort and Privacy
Let’s be honest: the Italian sun is best enjoyed with a bit of “dolce vita” flair. Instead of fighting for a seat on a crowded ferry, you can lounge on spacious sun decks with a cold drink in hand. A private tour provides a sanctuary for families, couples, or groups of friends to bond without the noise of hundreds of strangers.

From the moment you depart from Sorrento, you are treated to a VIP experience. Whether it’s a romantic proposal near the arches of Amalfi or a celebratory lunch at a waterfront restaurant in Marina del Cantone, the privacy of your own boat ensures that your memories remain personal and profound. If you are looking for the gold standard of Italian travel, look no further.

Where are the best pick-up points?
Travelers might ask if they can be picked up directly from their hotel. This depends on whether your hotel has a private pier (like Il San Pietro). Most tours depart from the main dock in Sorrento (where we are) or Positano, Amalfi, Capri etc (Ps we can also pick you up from the last mentioned docks). For a private tour we are at your disposal.
Can we stop for lunch at a seaside restaurant?
This is a highlight for many. Popular spots like Restaurant Cantuccio in Nerano are only accessible (or best reached) by boat. Captains will usually drop you off and wait, but you must book these restaurants weeks in advance. This is a high recommendation if you really desire to enjoy a lunch by the seaside. We can make the reservation for you when you book the boat tour with us, just ask and we will make it happen.
