Amalfi Coast Tour by Boat from Sorrento: Info & Prices

The Amalfi Coast is one of the most beautiful places on Earth, but experiencing it from the land can often feel like a challenge. Between the winding, narrow roads of the “Mama Mia” highway and the packed summer buses, the logistics of travel can quickly overshadow the magic of the destination. If you are staying in Sorrento and want to see the coast in its true glory, there is only one way to do it: by sea. We will show you why with some beautiful pictures. Feel free to inquire anytime (bottom-right) to get a free quote of your tour. Are you ready? Andiamo!

Amalfi Coast Tour by Boat from Sorrento: Itinerary

We have mapped out the perfect balance of sightseeing, swimming, and land exploration. Here is what your day on the water looks like:

  • The Sorrento Coastline: As we depart, you’ll get a front-row seat to the ruins of Regina Giovanna, an ancient Roman villa with a natural lagoon
  • We’ll then round the dramatic cliffs of Punta Campanella, the official dividing point between the Gulf of Naples and the Gulf of Salerno

  • Secluded Swimming & Snorkeling: We avoid the crowded public beaches. Instead, we drop anchor in the crystal-clear waters of Marina del Cantone and the hidden Tordigliano Beach
  • You’ll also get a spectacular photo of at the Crapolla’s Fjord, a narrow inlet steeped in history
  • Positano (1–2 Hours Free Time): Approaching Positano by boat is a core memory in the making. We’ll dock directly at the pier, giving you plenty of time to wander the vertical streets, shop for handmade linen, or grab a world-famous lemon granita

  • The Wonders of Furore & Conca dei Marini: We’ll cruise past the Fiordo di Furore, a breathtaking gorge spanned by a high stone bridge
  • Amalfi (1–2 Hours Free Time): Step ashore in the historic heart of the coast. Visit the stunning 9th-century Cathedral (Duomo), explore the paper-making museums, or enjoy a leisurely lunch at a waterfront restaurant in Conca dei Marini
  • The Mythical Li Galli Islands: Before heading back, we stop at this private archipelago. Legend says the Sirens lived here to lure Ulysses; today, it is the most exclusive snorkeling spot on the coast

Stay in the city centre

Staying in the center of Sorrento is the best way to have everything within walking distance. See the interactive map below.

The All-Inclusive Luxury Experience

We believe that a luxury tour should be exactly that: stress-free. While other companies often surprise guests with hidden “port taxes” or fuel surcharges at the end of the day, our pricing is transparent and comprehensive. Your booking includes:

  • Expert Guidance: A professional, bilingual captain (English and Italian) who knows every secret cave and story along the coast.
  • Full Service: All fuel, VAT, and all port fees for Sorrento, Positano, and Amalfi are included.
  • Onboard Refreshments: Stay hydrated and happy with water, soft drinks. Beer, and a bottle of chilled Prosecco just on standard our Gozzos and Yacht tours.
  • Beach Essentials: We provide snorkeling gear and fresh towels (Gozzo/Yacht) so you can pack light.

Travelers might ask if they can be picked up directly from their hotel. This depends on whether your hotel has a private pier (like Il San Pietro). Most tours depart from the main dock in Sorrento (where we are) or Positano, Amalfi, Capri etc (Ps we can also pick you up from the last mentioned docks). For a private tour we are at your disposal.

This is a highlight for many. Popular spots like Restaurant Cantuccio in Nerano are only accessible (or best reached) by boat. Captains will usually drop you off and wait, but you must book these restaurants weeks in advance. This is a high recommendation if you really desire to enjoy a lunch by the seaside. We can make the reservation for you when you book the boat tour with us, just ask and we will make it happen.
