Amalfi Coast Honeymoon Itinerary: The Plan

Our suggestion is, first thing first, to enjoy the coast for at least 7 days (if you can more, even better):

  • 3 days in Sorrento
  • 2 days in Positano
  • 2 days in Capri

Sorrento will be our starting point of the itinerary (here some accommodations we suggest). You can get to Sorrento from Naples by private transport (recommended) or by train.

Sorrento Itinerary 3 days: Day Trips & Boat Tours

Three days is Sorrento are more than enough to enjoy the city itself and to do some tours. The historical city centre can be visited easily in one day. You can also spend one of the 3 days relaxing at the beach (there are some nice beach clubs). What about the other days? Here it is where we come to help you:

In one day we will show you the beauties of the Amalfi Coast and Capri Island by sea. We’ll make your honeymoon unforgettable, taking charming photos of you. Dropping you off in Positano, you will have time to have an overlooking of the hidden gem of the Amalfi Coast.

Stay in the city centre

Staying in the center of Sorrento is the best solution for having everything within walking distance. See the interactive map below.

Amalfi Coast Honeymoon Itinerary: 2 days in Positano

After 3 days in Sorrento, it’s time to move to Positano, the beating heart of the Amalfi Coast. Easy to reach privetaly or by hydrofoil. Positano is surrounded by sea and mountains, making it an absolute cinema spot. Positano is smaller than Sorrento and easy to visit, perfect for 2 nights in a nice hotel (here our tips).

Feel the Italian vibe walking around the narrow streets and enjoy Italian classics. Some suggestions? Well…we highly recommend delizia with lemon (typical dessert) and a homemade ice cream. For the food it’s impossible to be disappointed, we are in Italy, do not forget.

Day trip to Amalfi

We suggest you to relax in Positano for a day at the beach, then doing the beautiful path of Gods another day. The same day you can visit Amalfi, the city that gives the name to the Amalfi Coast. A few hours will be enough for Amalfi, it’s very small but don’t forget to visit St. Andrea’s Cathedral, it’s stunning!

Capri Tour from Positano

Ehy, wait a second, you didn’t have the chance to have a bout tour from Sorrento? No problem at all:

Amalfi Coast Honeymoon Itinerary: 2 days in Capri

Our tour is going pretty well, isn’t it? But the best is yet to come. Why? Because you can’t really call it a honeymoon tour if you haven’t seen the beauties of Capri. One of the most popular islands of the world has to be on your bucket list for sure.

In 2 days you will have the time to visit both sides of the island: Capri and Anacapri. Capri center is a cute pedestrian area where you can visit many things:

  • Piazzetta (the iconic little square)
  • Augustus Garden (where you can admire faraglioni rocks)
  • Via Krupp (path getting you to Marina Piccola by walk)
  • Terrazza Tragara (beautiful photographic spot)
  • Pizzolungo (beautiful walking path along faraglioni rocks)

Anacapri is famous for:

  • The beautiful sunsets at the lighthouse
  • Monte Solaro and its breathtaking view (reacheble by cableway)
  • Blue Grotto (you can’t actually miss the main attraction)

You can end your trip strolling around Capri and enjoying the slow Italian life. Capri is full of beautiful accomodations (here some ideas).

Conlusions

Our article comes to an end. We hope we gave you the opportunity to organize your dreamy honeymoon in the best way possible. Do not forget to check our boat tours and to inquire with an agent to ask for more infos. Follow us on instagram to be updated on our offers.Arrivederci e grazie.

The best times are spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October). The weather is pleasant, the flowers are in bloom, and there are fewer crowds than in the peak summer months of July and August, when the region can become very crowded and expensive.

  • 2 nights/3 days is the minimum to have a touch of the Amalfi Coast
  • 3-5 days is recommended to see the main sights: Sorrento, Capri, Amalfi, Ravello, and Positano. You can actually check one of our best boat tours to get by sea to one of these wonderful destinations

  • By Bus (cheapest)
  • By ferries/hydrofoils (the best option to enjoy the coast by the seaside too)
  • By private transfer (most expensive)

Napoli Capodichino Airport is the closest and most convenient, from there you can reach the Amalfi Coast by:

  • Private transfer to Sorrento
  • Private transfer to Positano
  • Train: Circumvesuviana is the straight train line from Naples to Sorrento
  • Ferries/hydrofoils you can catch from Molo Beverello in Naples
