Itinerary

Here is the itinerary suggested by us about the cities to visit:

  • Sorrento (from where our tours leave)
  • Positano
  • Amalfi
  • Capri

In a 4-day itinerary, you can easily visit all them. We will now show you the best attractions of each one.

Amalfi Coast 4 Day Itinerary: Day 1 Sorrento

Sorrento doesn’t belong to the Amalfi Coast but to the Sorrento Peninsula. It is, anyway, a must-see destination once in this area. Also, because it is attached to the Amalfi Coast a very easy to reach. Usually, we suggest staying in Sorrento overnight because it’s a strategic city.

Many attractions and tours (like a day trip to the Amalfi Coast, Capri, or Pompei) are closer from here. From Sorrento, there are our boat tours (with our captains) leaving every single day to amaze you. You can check the boat tours below with some other useful links (you can also inquire with our agent, bottom-right):

Stay in the city centre

Staying in the center of Sorrento is the best way to have everything within walking distance. See the interactive map below.

Amalfi Coast 4 Day Itinerary: Day 2 Positano

Here comes the gem of the coast: Positano. An unbelievable and stunning city, especially when viewed from the sea, so consider taking our boat tour. Positano is easy to visit; it’s the classic city along the Amalfi Coast that you can discover on foot.

So that’s the idea about Positano, getting lost in the streets with the smell of lemons, and the magnificent Italian food. It takes just a day to know Positano and enjoy its essence. Here are some tips from your favourite locals:

Furore’s Fjord

Before getting to Amalfi, our suggestion is to stop at this incredible spot. The fjord of Furore looks coming out of a fairytale. A place not to miss once on the coast, where you could spend a day at the beach. Be careful, it’s rocky, you might need proper beach shoes. Ps there is a boat tour with us of the Amalfi Coast, stopping here too.

Amalfi Coast 4 Day Itinerary: Day 3 Amalfi

Amalfi comes just after Positano and Furore. And as said before (like for Furore), in the middle between them, you will see many beautiful things. For things we mean beaches, stunning scenarios divided by sea and mountains. Amalfi is easy to visit too; it takes a few hours to stroll around the city and enjoy its beauty. It’s impossible not to be amazed by the Cathedral in the main square.

Atrani and Ravello

They are 5 (Atrani) and 30 (Ravello) minutes away from Amalfi. Usually, once you are in Amalfi is a good idea to see these 2 marvelous towns. Atrani is just next to Amalfi; you can literally walk there and reach it in 15 minutes (it is a pleasant walk). To get to Ravello, instead, you will need a bus departing from both Amalfi and Atrani. Ravello is a mountain town from where you can have an unbelievable view of the whole coast. There, you can also visit Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo, 2 iconic places of the Amalfi Coast.
