Sorrento in One Day: the Beaches

Well…we are pretty sure once in Sorrento you really deserve to jump into the sea and that’s easy thing. Would be actually a shame not to taste our beautiful waters and the sun warming your skin. From the main villa, you can go straight to the (private) beaches. You can decide to reach them by walk (there are some stairs to do) or by elevator (with a low payment). Once down, you can decide which Lido (private beach) is going to fit you (prices and services).

Baths of Queen Giovanna

Are you looking for a suggestive, breathtaking place? In Sorrento there is a hidden beach can be reached by sea or by walk trough a walking path. Queen Giovanna’s bath is a literally a little swimming pool surrounded by nature. Is it worth a visit? Of course it is. Far from the city center about 35-40 minutes by walk it’s one of the most scenic places in town. The other way to see it? You can book a boat tour with us of Sorrento peninsula, including this marvelous spot. What are you waiting for? Our skipper can’t wait to explain the beauties of this area.

Sorrento in One Day: Piazza Tasso

Piazza Tasso is the beating heart of the city. It’s “the square” where all the people have to pass through to go to the beach or to the historical center. Stop at Fauno Bar, one of the most iconic places in town where you can enjoy typical food from Sorrento.

Historical Center

Get lost in city center among its narrow streets. You’ll be surrounded by many shops making limoncello, restaurants, and vibrancy. Remember this: many shops will try to offer you limoncello, and you will never say no, never say no to a limoncello shot.

Stay in the city centre

Staying in the center of Sorrento is the best way to have everything within walking distance. See the interactive map below.

San Francesco’s Cloister

This is another beautiful spot not to miss in Sorrento. San Francesco’s Cloister is very cozy and it is free to visit. Inside you might find some exhibition. It’s just next to the entrance of the villa, the one to go to the beach. So our suggestion is to visit it before or after the beach day.

Spring/Summer is the best period of the year to visit Sorrento. It is perfect too for a boat tour swimming and snorkeling into the deep blue water

It’s not cheap, but for sure cheaper than Positano and Amalfi, especially if we talk about accomodations. It still depends on your budget, you can easily visit Sorrento on budget or affording the best for a higer price of course

Sorrento is perfect even for just one day, but wouldn’t be enough. It is a city where we suggest to spend at least 3/4 nights to enjoy the italian dolce vita, and of course our fantastic boat tour

Circumvesuviana is the train line getting you straight from Naples to Sorrento

By walk is the best option considering that Sorrento is a pedestrian area in the city centre
